I bought the .223 Howa 1500 scoped rifle package for $550 at Smith and Edwards. This rifle is amazing and I would feel comfortable recommending it to anyone, what sold me on this rifle was the fact that Howa actually built the Vanguard for Weatherby. The rifle feels great, the bolt cycles smoothly and the trigger pull pretty good out of the box but it is adjustable. It came with a Nikko Stirling 3-10×42 Nighteater scope. It has an adjustable parallax, the glass in the scope is clear and it seems like a pretty sturdy scope, defiantly not just a cheap scope just thrown on there.
